Lego What am I

I’ve written many blogs  about legos (because I love blogging and legos) but I’ve never written about a lego game. Did you even know that there is a Lego game? Well there certainly is, and this incredible game is called What am I?

Lego: What am I?

It sounds like it could be a matching game and that’s actually pretty close. It’s a guessing game, think of it like a variation of battleship in Lego form. But with “windows” Instead of pegs and lego mini-figures instead of battleships. You also have to build the game board it doesn’t come built, it’s lego’s what else can you expect. The youngest player goes first, so play with people older than you if you want to go first (kidding).

So here is how the game works:

Both players will have the same set of mini-figures to start. Most of the windows will be transparent and tinted blue except for one which will be in the middle figure in the bottom row. This will be your secret figure.

So first you open your windows and you ask questions to determine your opponent’s secret mini-figure’s identity. Ask questions like: Is it a man? Is it a woman ? Does it have a hat? Is it a human being? There are mini-figures that are not human. The questions should be answerable with a simple yes or no.

If your opponent says yes to “Is it a woman ?” then you would close the windows of all of your figures that are not women. If your opponent says no to “Does it have a hat?” then close the windows of all of the figures that have hats in order to eliminate the chance of guessing wrong. When you come down to only two or three options then you can guess the overall identity of the figure.

Yes, if you guess it correctly do a victory dance because you just got a point! No, if you guessed it wrong then you can put it back. Really the game isn’t a popularity contest but it’s fun and you can buy it here (with parent’s permission of course). Try it. I really recommend it.
